Research Experience

Lowcountry Lung and Critical Care has a dedicated team of research professionals involved in more than 100 clinical trials over the last 25 years, resulting in the introduction of safe medicines to the market. Our research helps patients reach new milestones in their health and wellness. The patients who have participated in our trials have been instrumental in the approval of medications such as Advair, Dilaresp, Spiriva, Symbicort, Tudorza, Breo and Anora for COPD. Also Bevespi, Stiolto, Utibron, Seebri, Incruse, Arnuity and Arcapta.

Our clinical trials for sleep disorders have included medication such as Xyrem, Provigil and Nuvigil. These medications have changed the face of treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Narcolepsy.

Available Research Opportunities

Our involvement in clinical trials are constantly changing based on the progress of the global enrollment goal.

– Asthma and are on a stable dose of a controller medication. We may have an asthma trial you can participate in.

– Pulmonary Fibrosis and will consider participating in a questionnaire about your diagnosis and symptoms.

– Have COPD and suffer repeated exacerbations during the year.

Interested patients may make an appointment with a clinical research coordinator at their convenience for specific information and screening.
